On the Desigo CC station where you want to use the Hanwha Samsung SSM video management system, open the Windows Credential Manager as follows: a. Select Start > Control Panel. b. Select User Accounts > Credential Manager.
Select Windows Credentials.
Click Add a generic credential.
In the Internet or network address field, enter exactly the following string: HanwhaSamsungSSM.
In the User name field, enter the name of one of the users configured in Hanwha Samsung SSM.
In the Password field, enter the exact password defined by Hanwha Samsung SSM.
Click OK.
The credentials of the Hanwha Samsung SSM user are added for the Windows account of the user of the Desigo CC computer.
In Windows, on the Desigo CC server computer, start the Services tool:
Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services or
From Start > Run... launch services.msc.
In the service list, locate the Siemens Video API Service.
Right-click the Siemens Video APIService and select Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, select the Log On tab.
Under Log On as: select This account and enter the username and password of the Windows user account whose credentials were configured in the Windows Credential Manager. NOTE: If you use an Administrator Windows account, you must use the same account to run the Siemens Video APIService.
On the Desigo CC server computer, using Windows Explorer, locate the folder [drive letter]:\ProgramData\Siemens. NOTE: The folder is normally hidden. You must modify the folder option to show hidden files and folders. For more information, refer to the Windows documentation.
Right-click the sub-folder VideoApi and select Properties.
In the VideoApi Properties dialog box, select the Security tab.
Click Edit.
If the Windows user account (whose credentials were configured in the Windows Credential Manager) is not present in the Group or user names list, do the following: a. Click Add. b. In the search field, enter the Windows user account and click Check names. d. Click OK.
The Windows user account is added to the Group or user names list.
In the Group or user names list, select the Windows user account.
