Migrate Todo Texts

Scenario: Existing Desigo Insight Todo texts must be migrated to Desigo CC.

Prerequisites:

  • The Desigo Insight sites are assigned to a Desigo CC network.

 

Steps:

1 – Select Desigo Insight Project Data
  1. Select Project > System settings > Conversion tools > Desigo Data Migration.
  1. Select the Desigo Data Migration tab and open the Select Folder expander.
  1. Click Browse.
  1. Select the Desigo Insight project folder for the exported project.
  1. Click OK.
  • The selected project is displayed.
2 – Perform Site Mapping
  1. Open the Site to Network Mapping expander.
  • The available sites are displayed in the DI Site column.
  1. Select a Desigo Insight site.
  1. In the CC Network drop-down list, select the associated Desigo CC network.
  1. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for all required Desigo Insight sites.

3 – Migrate Todo Texts
  1. In the Data import expander, select the Todo Texts tab.
  1. Select the check box for the applicable site.
    NOTE: Tooltip displays the assignments. Up to 80 Todo texts can be displayed.
  1. Click Import.
  • A confirmation message is displayed.
  1. Click Yes.
  • The Import Overview dialog box displays.
  1. Click OK to close the dialog box.

NOTE:
The file displayed in the log is saved as DIMigrationTodoLog.csv in folder [Installation Drive]:\[Installation Folder]\[Project Name]\log and can be opened in Excel. The separators for the CSV file are based on the set Desigo CC network language.
If the log file is opened in Excel, the data migration once again aborts. Close the log file first and restart the data migration.

 

4 – Check the Migrated Todo Texts
  1. In System Browser, select the corresponding data point.
  1. Select the Object Configurator tab.
  • The Todo text is imported in the Settings expander to the Off-Normal Text text field.
  • A Todo text referenced multiple times in Desigo Insight is added to each referenced data point in Desigo CC. There is no further text dependency under this data point.
  • A Desigo Insight URL link is added as a normal text entry in Desigo CC, for example: https://xyz.com/abc/def. The link does not work from Desigo CC .
