Node Map
This section discusses the tasks you can perform from the Node Map. For background information, see the reference section.
Filter the Node Map by Name
- In the Search by description field of the Node Map, enter any part of the panel description you want to display.
- The Node Map view is updated and only displays the nodes whose description contains the text you entered.
Filter the Node Map by Ownership (UL panels only)
- In the Node Map, click Filter by Ownership .
- The Node Map view is updated and only displays the nodes you own.
NOTE: Click Filter by Ownership again to remove the filter.
Sort the Node Map by Alarm Status
- In the Node Map, click Sort by Alarm Status .
- The Node Map view is updated and sort the nodes according to the severity and acknowledge status of pending alarms.
NOTE: Click Sort by Alarm Status again to sort the node alphabetically (default).
Show Properties and Commands of a Panel from the Node Map
- In the Node Map, double-click a panel.
- The panel is selected in System Browser, and properties and commands display in the Contextual pane.
- Select the Extended Operation tab to access the extended set of control commands.
Filter Event List from the Node Map
Displaying Filtered Event List
- Select one or more panels in the Node Map.
- Click Enable Event List interactions to display Event List and filter it according to the Node Map selection.
Hiding Filtered Event List
- Click Disable event list interactions to remove the Node Map filter.
- In the Summary bar, click Close Event List .
Manage the Panel Ownership from the Node Map (UL panels only)
Request the Ownership (UL 864)
- Select one or more panels in the Node Map.
- Click Request Ownership .
- In the dialog box that opens, confirm you want to request the ownership of the selected panels.
Transfer the Ownership (UL 864)
- Select the panels you currently own and want to transfer.
- Click Transfer Ownership .
- In the dialog box that opens, select the receiver station and click OK.
Connect and Disconnect a Panel from the Node Map (UL panels only)
- In the Node Map, select one or more panels.
- Click Disconnect to stop the communication with the panel.
- Desigo CC is disconnected from the panel. A red cross sign appears on the panel symbol.
- Click Connect to restart the communication.
- Desigo CC is connected again with the panel. The red cross sign disappears.
Manage the Groups of Panels in the Node Map
Group Panels
- You are enabled to configure the Node Map (User Application Rights).
- In the Node Map, click Edit mode .
- Select the panels you want to group. Hold CTRL key pressed when you click the panels to allow for a multiple selection.
- Click Group .
- In the dialog box that opens, enter the group Description.
- The new group node displays. Next to it, a dashed-line frame shows the panels that belong to the group.
- Click Edit mode again to quit edit mode.
Expand/Collapse a Group
- In the Node Map, double-click a collapsed group to expand it.
- The panels that belong to the group display in the Node Map. They are represented by slightly smaller nodes that display next to the group node within a dashed-line frame.
- Double-click the group again to collapse it.
- The panels that belong to the group disappear from the Node Map.
Ungroup Panels
- You are enabled to configure the Node Map (User Application Rights).
- In the Node Map, click Edit mode .
- Select the node of the group you want to remove.
- Click Ungroup .
- The group node disappears.
- Click Edit mode again to quit edit mode.
Remove a Single Panel from a Group
- You are enabled to configure the Node Map (User Application Rights).
- In the Node Map, click Edit mode .
- If the group is collapsed, expand it by double-clicking the group node.
- Select the panel you want to remove.
- Click Ungroup .
- The group is updated.
- Click Edit mode again to quit edit mode.
Rename a Panel from the Node Map
- You are enabled to configure the Node Map (User Application Rights).
- In the Node Map, click Edit mode .
- Select the panel you want to rename and press F2.
- Enter the new name.
- Click Edit mode again to quit edit mode.
